Design and Practicality
Instantly recognisable, the GLB Electric's purposeful, squared-off design, with its short overhangs and generous wheel arch cladding, displays a robust appearance.
The striking front panel features 94 individual LED stars, surrounding the iconic illuminated three-pointed Mercedes-Benz star at the centre of the grille, which animate to welcome your approach (and inevitably raise a smile). LED headlights slice through the darkest nights with laser-like precision, while a full-width light bar at the rear creates a distinctive night-time presence.
Inside, a clever interior layout maximises headroom and comfort, while wider doors and a sliding middle bench make access easier. Once everyone is comfortably seated, you can admire the open-pore wood and brushed aluminium trim. The generous boot capacity is 480 litres with all seven seats in place, expanding to 540 litres in five-seat mode. Mercedes-Benz offers two electric powertrains, both using an 85kWh battery pack and 800-volt electrical architecture. The GLB 250+ uses a single rear-mounted motor reaching 62mph in 7.4 seconds. The GLB 350 4MATIC adds a front motor for intelligent all-wheel drive, boosting outputs with the 0 to 62mph dash dropping to a fleeting 5.5 seconds.
The all-new GLB Electric delivers a characteristically composed and refined drive. Optional adaptive suspension further enhances comfort, electronically adjusting damping to suit a range of road conditions.
Charging
When you do not have time to hang around, ultra-fast DC charging up to 320kW delivers around 162 miles in just 10 minutes. That is perfect for a quick pit stop at the motorway services on those rare occasions you are travelling the length of the country.
Back at home, flexible AC charging lets you wake up to a fully powered car every morning. Using a typical 7kW home wallbox, a full charge takes approximately 12 hours.
