The EQE SUV is another state-of-the-art addition to the all-electric portfolio that is the Mercedes-EQ range.
Taking inspiration from other Mercedes-EQ vehicles, it joins the EQS SUV as another hugely practical option, alongside the EQE executive saloon and EQS luxury saloon.
The EQE SUV offers an eye-catching design and a whole host of the latest cutting-edge technology, complemented with up to 367 miles of electric range, ensuring the EQE SUV is an impressive all-round package.
Design and Practicality
With Mercedes-Benz, we are used to exquisite design and supreme luxury, and in textbook fashion the Mercedes-EQ range also follows this quest for excellence.
There is a distinct design language attached to each model in the Mercedes-EQ range. The EQE SUV is easily identifiable thanks to the clean lines and perfectly balanced proportions, accompanied by fine details, such as the distinct black panel radiator grill with Mercedes-Benz pattern.
This is further encapsulated on the rear of the EQE SUV with the tail lamp elements encompassing a 3D helix and striking light strip which extends almost as wide as the car, an unmistakable design feature which identifies it as a member of the Mercedes-EQ range.
Technology and Safety
State-of-the-art technology is not lacking in the EQE SUV from Mercedes-EQ.
Perhaps the most striking showcase of technology is the inclusion of the optional MBUX Hyperscreen. This supports up to three individual displays in a single, 1410mm-wide fascia panel, which more or less stretches the entire length of the dashboard.
Elsewhere, the EQE SUV features a clever thermal architecture, with a heat pump coming as standard which takes wasted heat from the car's electric components to heat the cabin. There is also a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter that cleans the outside air coming into the car.
Furthermore, mirroring all other Mercedes‑Benz models, the EQE SUV has a strong passenger compartment, bespoke deformation zones and cutting-edge restraint systems.
Range and Performance
The EQE SUV by Mercedes-EQ comes in the following specifications.
- EQE 350+: 288bhp, rear-wheel drive, up to 367 miles of range
- EQE 350 4MATIC: 288bhp, all-wheel drive, up to 346 miles of range
- EQE 500 4MATIC: 402bhp, all-wheel drive, up to 340 miles of range
No performance stats have been released as of yet, so we will update this page when they are available.
However, stats are available for the AMG version.
- EQE 43 AMG 4MATIC: 469bhp, all-wheel drive, up to 303 miles of range and a 0 to 62mph time of 4.3sec
- EQE 53 AMG 4MATIC: 617bhp, all-wheel drive, up to 292 miles of range and a 0 to 62mph time of under 4.0 seconds
Charging
The EQE SUV is said to feature a DC box with a charging capacity of up to 170 kW, which enables for fast charging via direct current.
Of course, multiple charging will be possible with fast charging times, along with more conventional overnight charging methods.
