Introducing the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé Plug-in Hybrid
Utilising the same engines and the same plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology as the GLC SUV Plug-in Hybrid, the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupé Plug-in Hybrid shares many similarities.
The noticeable difference, of course, is the sleek sloping coupé roofline; giving the practical vehicle a sportier and more sophisticated essence.
Excellent fuel economy and powerful engines feature in the conventionally-powered GLC Coupé but these plug-in hybrid models simply maximise efficiency, without compromising on the ever-important performance you would expect from a car in the Mercedes-Benz range.

Range and Performance
Journeys, long or short, are achievable and a true pleasure in the GLC Coupé Plug-in Hybrid models. Shorter, low-speed journeys can be completed in all-electric mode for between 25 and 28 miles. Whilst longer, faster trips will see either the petrol or diesel engine engage and work in conjunction with the electric motor.
Combining a 2.0-litre diesel engine with an electric motor, the GLC 300 de 4MATIC produces 302bhp and returns up to a fantastic 148mpg on a combined cycle.
Delivering even more power is the GLC 300 e 4MATIC, which can reach 62mph from stationary in just 5.7 seconds thanks to a substantial 311bhp.
As the model names suggest, both PHEV variants feature the superbly capable 4MATIC all-wheel drive system; making them even more appealing.
Charging
Whether you are at home, work or in the middle of a long-distance journey; there is always a convenient place to charge the GLC Coupé Plug-in Hybrid.
A standard 3-pin household plug socket can be used to recharge the vehicle from 10 percent to full capacity in around five hours. If you would prefer a quicker option at home or work, a dedicated wall box can be installed to dramatically decrease the charging time to just one and a half hours.
The quickest method of charging is often at one of the thousands of public charging stations located around the UK. Situated in car parks and motorway service stations there are plenty around and can be extremely useful when you are planning on stopping somewhere anyway.
