MINI Packs Explained

10th Feb 2026

The leader of the packs?

It is hard to look beyond MINI, with its captivating range of bundles that have consistently allowed owners to personalise their cars for the last 25 years.

MINI packs are curated bundles of features focused on comfort, technology, safety and style that eliminate the complexity of selecting dozens of individual options. MINI does the hard work for you by combining popular features into packs that add more of what you like.

Since the relaunch of MINI in 2001, part of the playful appeal of the brand has been the iconic Salt, Pepper and Chili feature collections that make rival offerings seem dull and corporate in comparison.

Over the years, MINI has refined its approach to these packs, making it easier than ever to configure your perfect car with Comfort and Premium options, as well as the streamlined, tiered Level packs. These contemporary bundles simplify purchasing decisions and, at the same time, enhance those all-important residual values.

This short guide will walk you through every MINI pack available across new and used MINI models, helping you to clearly understand your options.

Current MINI Packs

MINI Infotainment System

MINI models introduced from 2024 onwards use a refreshingly simple approach to specification: Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.

Even before you consider adding a pack, MINI models come well-equipped with a suite of standard safety and driver-assistance features, including lane departure warning, active blind-spot detection, rear-collision warning and exit warning. From this solid starting point, the packs further elevate the ownership experience.

Level 1

This introductory bundle boosts your daily driving experience with a package of handy features at a surprisingly reasonable cost.

Exact Pack types can vary depending on exact specifications, so be sure to ask the owner or dealership for more specific details related to any used MINI models you are interested in.

Frequently asked questions

Can I add pack features to my MINI after purchase?

Some MINI pack features can be retrofitted by authorised dealers, though this is typically more expensive than specifying them on a new model.

Do MINI packs differ between models?

Yes, packs can vary slightly between different MINI models. For example, the Level 3 pack might include different features on a MINI Cooper than on a MINI Countryman, reflecting each model's individual character.

How can I tell which pack my used MINI has?

There are a few tell-tale signs that a MINI has certain types of packs. For example, an older MINI that has a Pepper Pack will likely have distinctive 'Pepper Pot' alloy wheels, while a newer MINI with a Level 2 Pack will feature a panoramic sunroof. Familiarising yourself with standout features before you view any potential vehicles will help you ensure it has the specification you are looking for.

You can also check the original invoice or handbook, if available, or contact MINI directly and simply quote your VIN (the last seven digits of the chassis number).
