Launched in 2022, the Mercedes-Benz EQE is a medium-sized electric saloon. Unlike other Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles which sit lower in the range and effectively swap out their engines for electric motors and batteries, the EQE gets its own platform.

Versions are pretty quick, with EQE 350 versions getting 288bhp, good enough for 0 to 62mph in 6.5 seconds, whilst offering between 383 and 429 miles. The EQE 500 gets 402bhp, dropping the 0 to 62mph time to 4.7 seconds, whilst offering between 342 and 385 miles.

Naturally, there is also an AMG version, in the form of the Mercedes-AMG EQE 53, which offers 617bhp (677bhp with optional package) meaning 0 to 62mph is dealt with in just 3.4 seconds, or 3.3 seconds with the optional Race Start package.

Running costs should be less than a comparable internal combustion engine car, with specialist servicing available at any Stratstone Mercedes-Benz retailer.

Practicality is also impressive, with 430 litres of boot space, along with plenty of interior space to get comfortable with ease.
