Why buy an Approved MINI Clubman?

The MINI Clubman was produced from 2007 to 2024. It was essentially a modern remake of the Classic Mini Traveller from the 1960s, and was essentially a MINI estate car, with funky rear-opening doors.

A more practical MINI, the Clubman followed the Hatchback's model choice, meaning you could get Cooper, Cooper S and John Cooper Works variants, all with different engines. Cooper used a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine, with 144bhp, capable of returning up to 47mpg and completing 0 to 62mph in 9.2 seconds.

The Cooper S used a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, which produced more power with 176bhp on offer, dropping the 0 to 62mph time to 7.2 seconds, whilst returning up to 44mpg.

Finally, the John Cooper Works also used a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, but power was up to 302bhp, dropping the 0 to 62mph time to just 4.9 seconds, whilst returning up to 38mpg.

Practicality was good, with plenty of interior space and a decent 360-litre boot, which increased to a massive 1,250 litres with the rear seats folded flat.

Why has MINI discontinued the Clubman?

Just like many cars that are discontinued, buying habits change and MINI decided it was time to replace the Clubman after 17 years.

What is replacing the MINI Clubman?

The MINI Aceman compact SUV, MINI's first sole electric model replaced the Clubman.

Is the MINI Clubman or MINI Countryman better?

The MINI Countryman is still made, whilst the Clubman was discontinued in 2024, but it will all come down to personal preference in which is better for the used buyer in question.

Is the MINI Clubman fast?

The MINI JCW was certainly fast, with 0 to 62mph happening in just 4.9 seconds, making it one of the fastest MINIs ever.
